Flaunt Designer: Azzedine Alaia

photos via: net-a-porter

I wanted to feature one of my favorite designers Azzedine Alaia, because everything he creates is more than a pair of shoes or an accessory... it's more like a piece of art. Alaia specializes in high-end leather goods and is top-of-the line! The price-point of his pieces typically start in the thousands so it's not that simple to own a pair especially because they aren't sold everywhere. In fact, Alaia is super selective to the boutiques they sell to not to mention the deliveries are somewhat unknown.  When a store receives their shipment is when they receive it so imagine the Alaia waiting list! However, if you happen to own anything from his collection one thing for sure, it'll last a lifetime! Looks like this might be my fashion investment piece for 2010 Flaunt Followers!

Flaunt Designer: The Kardashians for bebe

photos: bebe
While I was watching "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" I admired the dress Kim wore on her bday and how cute (& brave) Kourtney looked in the cream, long-sleeved mini. I also wanted to slap the ish out of Scott b/c he is so immature and foolish! Anywaaaay Kim, Khole, & Kourtney have partnered with bebe to design a collection inspired by....well themselves & their fav designers it seems! I think it's pretty cleaver how the model resembles the girls and adds that ethnic element to the line. Although I'm not a fan of bebe, with the exception of some of their shoes, I wouldn't mind owning and flaunting a few of these pieces. For the most part they're fun, sexy, and somewhat classic. I also like how they kept the fabrics solid and focused more on the structure and movement of the clothing. Some items are currently featured on bebe.com and the entire collection will be presented at New York Fashion Week tomorrow!

Flaunt Designer: Jean Paul Gaultier for Target

Yeah yet another collabo... exciting!!! Jean Paul Gaultier has teamed up with Target! The collection resembles an urban, Rock n' Roll, glamour feel with a bit of edge. The price range is pretty affordable from $17.99- $199.99 featuring trendy pieces like high-waisted shorts, padded jackets, cropped tanks and swimwear. Save up and mark your calendars ladies because the collection will launch in select Target stores on March 7th-April 11th 2010!

Flaunt Obsession: Block Shades

photos: shopnastygal.com, patriciafields.com, cocoandbreezy.com
I've been meaning to share my obsession with block/shield shades long ago since my Flaunt Fabulous Finds post on F21 accessories. I just realized that I haven't yet so here are some of my favs. I love these types of sunglasses so much because not only are they fierce & fabulous but if you don't really feel like wearing make-up while stepping out, running errands, or whatever, they do the trick so lol!  Really though, these shades are still a must-have for this season & can very well be worn into spring and summer! These are also flaunted by famous gals like Beyonce, Rihanna, & Lady Gaga to name a few. From Versace & Margiela to A-Mori, 2BD, + COCO&BREEZY you can get this look at a pretty penny or just a few dollars!

Flaunt Favorite Lines: Tory Burch

As I mentioned before over the long Holiday weekend I found some amazing vintage pieces for the ShopTheFlantFiles store. I also made a quick stop to my old job, Tory Burch on Robertson because I was in the area and it's been quite sometime since I dropped and said hello to my former co-workers. I happen to go during the Black Friday frenzy and completely forgot about it until I walked in! Everyone looked super busy of course because there were tons of women trying to stock up on shoes + more due to the amazing sale. Speaking of shoes I WISH I was able to stock-up myself :) Tory's collections are amazing right now and although I try to visit the site often I saw a few pairs that were new to me. Here are some of my favs I saw in-store that are freakin' amazing! Definitely stop by your local Tory Burch Flaunt Followers, or your nearest high-end dept store! It was so nice to see my old co-workers that day: Adrianna, Brooke, Shereen, Ann, Danny, GiGi, & Natasha (+ hello to Lance & Jill!).

Flaunt Favorite Lines: Noir Jewelry

photos: noirjewelry.com

I love, love, love, love, love, love, love, nOir jewelry! lol From the prices to the design, everything about this line is freakin' amazing! I've been meaning to blog about nOir (which means black in french) a long time ago as I own a few pieces bought from the boutique I used to manage, House of Petro Zillia. So I apologize for the delay if you don't know about it yet :)

nOir Jewelry is probably the best costume jewelry worth spending any money on plus some of the pieces are gold plated so you can get the most wear out of your gorgeous gems! They carry rings, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, and many celebs have been seen flaunting them out and about. Ranging from about $50-$250 it's not too difficult to save up & eventually own one of these beauties for yourselves!

Here are a few of my favorites from their current collection which is now sold online. Honestly I would post each one because I love them so much, but I had to narrow it down. I seriously need at least 1 new piece in my life, like right now!!! Flaunt Followers what do you think.... isn't it pure love at first sight!?

Flaunt Designer: Nicole Richie's new line Winter Kate

photos: marieclaire.co.uk

Nicole Richie will be adding ready-to-wear and a footwear collection called Winter Kate, to her design resume which is soon to come out in Spring/Summer 2010! She named the line after her two daughter's middle names...aww how adorable! I loved her House of Harlow 1960 jewelry line with it's bold statement pieces and 60's modern influence, hence the name. I'm addicted to shoes & I can't get enough of them. Plus I'm loving the Winter Kate collection, and need at least one pair! Here's a sneaky peak on the anticipated line which will be worth waiting for this spring.

Flaunt Designer: Mark Fast

photos: catwalking.com

I came across this awesome designer Mark Fast that makes the most incredible knits I've ever seen! There's a lot of designers out there who use this knit technique as their signature in their collections however I haven't seen any as amazing as his. Here are a few looks from the Spring 2010 show that are to die for. I want each piece for my wardrobe like now.... actually more like yesterday!!!

Flaunt D.I.Y Halloween! Selena Perez

Finally found that darn silver!

Making sure the sizes are correct

The beginning...Bidi Bidi Bom Bom!!

Materials for Selena costume=$22.99
Dressing up as Selena=priceless

photography by: 3EyesMedia

Friday I went downtown to shop for my Selena Halloween costume. I felt that if I was going to represent the late Selena I had to do it right!! I went to a few trim stores and found elastic sequined red and silver trim for $6 total. The red trim was easy to find but the silver on the other hand took 3 stores until it was spotted. I then went to an under garment store and bought a black demi-cup bra and black high waisted leggings for $16 total. I didn't mind spending the money because I figured I'll be able to reuse both. About 5 stores later I found these really cheap earrings for 99cents! Done...then it was time to eat, go home and make some magic!

So here are few pics of the hunting, the photos I used for inspiration, and me in my D.I.Y Selena Costume!

What do you Flaunt Followers think, did I represent her well?!
