GORILLA SNOT GEL Review + Updated WASH AND GO Routine

Hey flawless! Below is a detailed video and step-by-step pictorial of my 1st Impression Review on GORILLA SNOT GEL + my updated WASH AND GO routine. I tried both the SPORT and PUNK versions because they both have a hold of 10, however I do have a FAVORITE...Watch the entire video to see which I like more!

1

I recommend starting with freshly washed hair. However I started on dry (3-day old) hair. Using the L.O.C method, saturate your hair with H20, Coconut Oil, & a creme-based leave-in conditioner before applying gel.

2

This is the GORILLA SNOT GEL in PUNK. Super intense, heavy-duty,  & gooey with a fresh scent that's amazing! Remember Herbal Essences?...well yea very similar!

3

Because this gel is so thick, I suggest patting the outer surface of your hair section before you work the gel all the way in, in order to cover your stands.

4

Once you've covered the entire section go back to shingle the hair starting from the bottom and working up. This will ensure all the strands are covered, especially if you have thick hair.

5

Introducing the GORILLA SNOT GEL in SPORT. Also super intense, heavy-duty,  & gooey with a minty smell! There's also a cooling effect to this, so perfect for summer!

6

Prepare your hair using the pineapple method and tie a satin scarf for added protection...enjoy your beauty rest!

7

To elongate your hair, simply part your hair in workable small sections and focus the nozzle of your blow dryer on medium heat at the roots only!

FLAUNT IT!

Now your hair is completely stretched and you're all set!

Enjoy gorgeous & go FLAUNT your fierceness!

HOW TO: BANTU KNOTS ON NATURAL FLAT IRONED HAIR

Hey beauties! Below is a short detailed video and step-by-step pictorial of how I accomplished my beach waves via bantu knots. I just love how easy this style is to do, along with the benefits of heatless curls that feel moisturized and bouncy!

1

By using the tension method, start off with blown out hair.

2

Flat iron your hair with medium-high heat. Not too high however, and be careful not to damage your strands by making sure to use a thermal protector.

3

Section your hair in 4 sections and start from the back to work your way up. Take a small section (of one of the forth sections) to begin the bantu knot process.
*If you want looser waves (longer) twist more hair.
*If you want tighter waves (shorter) twist less hair.

4

Simply twist the entire section of hair until it starts to curl. Once you form the curl wrap and twist the hair simultaneously. Use the end of your twist to lock the knot in place. Use mini banana clips or bobby pins to secure in place as this is on flat ironed hair.
*If any of the knots loosen, go back to tighten. Make sure all knots are consistent, otherwise this will effect the overall results.

5

Tie a satin scarf or bonnet over the bantu knots and enjoy your beauty rest!

6

Apply a serum or oil to your hands to avoid potential frizziness. To take down, simply unwind the opposite direction of the twist formation. They will look somewhat odd like noodles, but don't worry almost done!

7

Separate each twist in 2-4 smaller sections based on your preference.
*I separated mine in 3 parts then gently finger
combed with serum on my hands.

FLAUNT IT!

If you'd like, slick your edges with gel. You can also change the position of your part.

Enjoy gorgeous & go FLAUNT your fierceness!

Flaunt Music: Songs on REPEAT!

Just wanted to share some of my fav tracks booming from my speakers lately and on MAJOR repeat. The first time I became aware of these sounds, by the artist SBTRKT (Subtract), was during work and I couldn't help but notice that the voice singing to that particular song sounded like the lead singer of Little Dragon (one of my favs!).

So of course, Shazam became useful and viola, I was right! From then on I was exposed to the sounds you are about to hear and also SBTRKT's main vocal collaborator Sampha. I can't really explain it, but it's dope and that's all you need to know! Enjoy...

Sunday Fun-day Brunch!

Although  I live in LA, its rare that I take the time to enjoy the beach. This past Sunday a few friends and I had a beach-brunch and it was so much fun. Music played while food was passed and desserts were enjoyed! We even had bottomless mimosas (shh don't tell) but it wouldn't be a brunch without it! Eventually we had the urge AND energy to perform some cheerleading moves which was super random but crazy fun! We all definitely agreed that we must arrange to get together again at the beach very soon.

FlauntFitness: Off to the Canyon!

Geared up and ready to go!

Yesterday was the 1st time I went to one of the many canyons that Los Angeles has to offer. I went along with a good friend who of course looked at me crazy when I admitted this fact considering how long I've lived in LA lol. Now although physically I may appear like I'm in-shape that's definitely not the case! Sooooo one of this year's "challenges" for myself is to be more active which is why I HAD to go. I also recently signed-up for a gym membership...ahhhhhhh! I know nuts right!?

For my 1st time experiencing this part of nature, I have to say it was pretty tough but super fun! The weather was a blessing, views breath-taking and at times the trails were meditative. It was definitely worth it and I can't wait for my next visit!

Oh side-note: Yesterday was Groundhog day and I saw one!! I tried to snap a pic but it wouldn't let me :( oh well...

One of the views, and a few trails...
 The Hollywood sign in sight

I conquered this slope and now I feel limitless!

Flaunt Face: Ruby Whoo luvs Cherries!

My current beauty obsession...wearing lip color! I know, I know no big deal but if you know me at all, you probably know that I BARELY wear lip color, let alone lipstick. The main reason why I didn't was because well... my smooch is pretty large and I felt anything added just made them larger!

However, I've broken out of that crazy notion and after quite a few trial and errors with colors and textures I found a perfect hue called Ruby Whoo. So below I'm flaunting my new bestie Ruby Whoo along with Cherry lip liner, both from MAC cosmetics. Honestly I should have rocked this look sooner because again...if you got it, flaunt it right?! Mmmuuaah!
